About the Role
An amazing opportunity for Project Coordinators to develop best-in-class project management skills working on a variety of Construction projects in various locations across Canada.
The Project Coordinator is responsible for assisting the project team in the coordination, scheduling, quantity surveying, reporting, and quality control functions of a project.
This is a task-based role that requires working knowledge of core elements of construction projects. This a temporary role with expected completion date at the end of November 2024
As a Project Coordinator at Graham, you will :
- Perform a variety of duties including but not limited to administrative duties, update schedules and budgets, maintain cost control, and monitor labour material and equipment activities on the project.
- Work with Project Managers / on-site Superintendent to update project schedule and budget to identify potential construction issues.
- Assist with the review and coordination of project-specific safety plan .
- Assist in receiving materials, manage reports , Material requests, OS&D s
- Attend all project team meetings, and document team meetings, action items, and other pertinent project deliverables / decisions.
- Attend all regular meetings, record meeting minutes, and present updates.
- Ensure that project site and company assets are secure, and maintain a safe and respectful working environment at all times.
- Monitor project change management process, identify change events, submit change notices, track changes and optional changes in project scope, and present to the Project Manager when required.
- Provide timely progress reports to Project Manager.
- Monitor and update schedules with the assistance of the team.
- Assist with drawings, drawing records, revisions, site instructions and change orders.
- Obtain and provide written documentation for all clarifications and instructions.
- Conduct the Client Satisfaction Survey prior to project closeout.
Qualifications / Experience :
- Civil, Mechanical or Structural Engineering degree or Technical Diploma
- Minimum of 1 to 3 Years’ Experience in construction environment (preferably with a General Contractor).
- Good communication, problem solving, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience and proficiency using scheduling and project management software is a definite asset
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite, SAP, Toolbox, Skype, PowerPoint, and basic IT troubleshooting.
- Awareness of health and safety standards
Working Conditions
- This role has the potential for overtime, weekend and shift work.
- Flexible hours can be worked out with the site superintendent
- All of the work is completed in a site trailer.
