Lead, Accounts Receivable

About the Opportunity

Daily Operations and Monitoring :

• Monitor daily AR balances by customer, ensuring all payments are accounted for and discrepancies are quickly identified and addressed
• Follow up diligently on collections and overdue accounts to support cash flow and minimize exposure to bad debts
• Analyze and resolve disputed payments and discrepancies, ensuring resolutions are compliant with company policies. Account Reconciliation and Analysis :
• Perform detailed account reconciliations to confirm that all payments are accurately recorded and that accounts are balanced
• Analyze aged receivables to prioritize collection efforts and identify potential risk areas
• Review and reconcile customer deductions, shortages, pricing discrepancies, and any other claims affecting the receivables

Reporting and Compliance :

• Assist with month-end closing processes, ensuring all AR-related entries are accurate and completed in a timely manner
• Prepare detailed reports on AR cash flow, including month-to-date and year-to-date analyses, to aid in cash flow planning and audit activities
• Generate and review A / R deposit books and ensure that all cash receipts are accurately recorded. Process Improvement :
• Continuously seek to improve the accounts receivable processes
• Develop and implement comprehensive procedures for managing volume rebates and other adjustments to accounts
• Design and develop ad hoc reports as required by the business to support strategic decisions and operational needs

Stakeholder Communication :

• Maintain effective communication with customers and internal sales representatives to resolve concerns related to accounts
• Work closely with the Accounts Receivable Supervisor and finance team members on key AR projects and initiatives
• Participate in key AR-related projects to enhance the financial infrastructure of the department
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Accounts Receivable Supervisor

About You

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounts receivable or a similar role, preferably in a complex manufacturing or warehouse environment.
• Analyzing and resolving disputed payments and discrepancies
• Performing detailed account reconciliations
• Analyzing aged receivables
• Diligently on collections and overdue accounts
• Reviewing and reconciling customer deductions, shortages, pricing discrepancies
• Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP's)
• Proven experience with the Pronto ERP system or similar ERP software.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with various stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
• Experience servicing clients with large inventory / merchandise and large skew counts such as Home Depot, Walmart, Pepsi
• Proactive personality

Salary Range

$65,000 - $67,000 / year
