Senior Power BI Developer

Job Overview : We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BI Developer to join our dynamic team at our Montreal office.

The ideal candidate will have a robust background in Business Intelligence, a deep understanding of SQL, and hands-on experience with Data and Semantic Modeling ,and YAML with Java-script .

Key Responsibilities :

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable BI solutions to meet business requirements.
• Craft and execute complex SQL queries for data analysis and reporting purposes.
• Develop and optimize data models to improve data analytics and reporting capabilities.
• Implement semantic models to facilitate intuitive data exploration for business users.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications.
• Utilize Power BI for creating dashboards, visualizations, and reports that provide meaningful business insights.
• Maintain documentation for BI solutions and provide training and support to end-users.
• Stay abreast of BI trends and technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems and practices.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience as a BI Developer or similar role in the financial services industry.
• Strong command of SQL and experience in developing complex queries and stored procedures.
• Expertise in Data Modeling and Semantic Modeling techniques.
• Good Hands on experience with YAML and Java-Script.
• Proficiency in Power BI for developing reports and dashboards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with different business units.

Good to Have :

• Experience with modern BI tools such as Cube Dev, AtScale, or Kyvos.
• Familiarity with cloud services and data warehouse technologies.
• Experience with agile methodologies and business intelligence best practices.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or a related field.

Valid Canada Work Authorization is needed.
