The Opportunity
The City of St. John’s, Department of Community Services, requires one instructor for Adult Fiddle programs.
Accountabilities
- To plan, develop and introduce fiddle skills at various levels to adults in a group setting.
- Consult, assist and make recommendations for the program in conjunction with the Community Programs and Services-Adult & Seniors Coordinator
- Perform in a direct leadership capacity in delivery of weekly programs
- Request and maintain the necessary supplies required for the program
- Compile and monitor attendance

Qualifications
- Recognized training / experience in Fiddle instruction
- Experience in teaching Fiddle programs in a group setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with adult population
- Formal education with diploma / certificate / degree would be an asset
Additional Quailifcations :
- Successful applicant will be required to obtain a current Criminal Record Screening Certificate & Vulnerable Sector Check (dated within the last six months of the start date.)
- Successful candidate would be expected to have the specific lesson plan content developed prior to start of employment.
Hours of Work
Program Schedule : Wednesday's from 1 : 30-2 : 30pm weekly.
Period of Employment :
September 2023 - June 2024
