The Squamish Nation’s Nexwsp’áyaḵen ta Smets’álḵen Kw’áxwa7 – Information Technology & Systems (IT&S) Department is seeking a skilled and people-focused Business Analyst (BA) to join our collaborative project team. In this exciting and dynamic role, you will support transformation initiatives that improve services and operations across the Nation. You’ll help shape new systems, especially within our Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP platform, and lead business process design that respects both modern efficiency and our cultural values. Whether you’re designing a new workflow, mapping process improvements, or supporting ERP implementations, your work will contribute to meaningful change within our organization. As a trusted team member, you will work across departments to ensure that technology is implemented with care, inclusivity, and strategic foresight. Your efforts will help ensure our employees and community members benefit from modern solutions while honouring the unique identity, language, and traditions of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation).
What You’ll Do
- Lead business analysis for IT&S projects, including requirements gathering, current/future state process mapping, and change impact assessments
- Serve as a key liaison between internal teams, external consultants, and vendors to support clear communication and alignment
- Evaluate and recommend solutions that are cost-effective, culturally respectful, and aligned with Nation goals.
- Drive process improvement through ERP and systems implementations (particularly Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O and Customer Service modules).
- Support or lead user acceptance testing, documentation, and system training activities.
- Champion stakeholder engagement by facilitating workshops, gathering input, and supporting smooth onboarding to new systems.
- Support change management by identifying risks, drafting communication plans, and promoting user adoption.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including requirements, process flows, and change logs.
- Contribute to continuous learning and professional development across the IT&S team and Squamish Nation departments.
What We’re Looking For
- A combination of education in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Postgraduate training or certifications in Business Analysis, ERP Systems (D365, SAP, Oracle), or project/change management are considered strong assets.
- Experience in business analysis, ideally in ERP implementations (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Oracle)
- Certification in Business Analysis (CBAP, CCBA), Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2), or Change Management (Prosci, ACMP) is an asset.
- Experience in process design, stakeholder facilitation, and project coordination in complex or multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong documentation and analytical skills, with the ability to simplify complex problems.
- Experience working with Indigenous organizations or in cross-cultural contexts is highly valued.
- High emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and respect for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw values and governance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and other enterprise technology platforms.
- Cultural awareness and deep respect for Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw values, language, and traditions.

Salary: $ 75,000 - $ 112,500
Candidates are typically offered compensation between the beginning to the midpoint of the range. Weare committed to providing a fair and equitable package that reflects the value an individual brings to the organization.
