Position Summary

Key Accountabilities

• • Informs guests of any daily specials
• • Explains how various menu items or beverages are prepared if applicable
• • Takes the guests orders and makes recommendations
• • Serves the guests and checks to ensure satisfaction
• • Prepares food and beverages if applicable
• • Resolves guests issues or asks management for assistance
• • Presents bill upon request and takes payment in the absence of a cashier
• • Cleans tables or counters, removes dishes and re-stocks where applicable
• • Performs opening or closing duties as required
• • Counts cash float at end of shift if applicable
• • Covers other servers’ sections when required
• • Liaises and communicates effectively with all appropriate operational departments
• • Ensures compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
• • Performs other duties as assigned or directed.

Education and Qualifications

• • Minimum 1 year serving experience
• • Serving it Right Certificate
• • Post Secondary hospitality or hotel education an asset
• • Ability to exceed internal and external customer expectations through timely, effective and service oriented communication
• • POS and Squirrel experience
• • Ability to work well in a team environment, strong communication & organizational skills
• • A passion for providing the Essential Elements of Excellence Guest Service to our internal and external guests
• • A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills
• • Ability to work in a fast paced, busy environment
• • Possess a high level of honesty and integrity
• • Excellent multi-tasking skills
• • Ability to successfully obtain and maintain a criminal record and credit check through the Gaming Policy and Enforcement Branch (GPEB)

Work Environment Considerations

• Regular casino, restaurant or bar environment, standing and walking f or long periods of time, some exposure to noise, odors; lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, stretching, non-traditional work hours
