The Opportunity
Permanent Part Time 0.6 FTE 46.5 Hours Biweekly
Salary : Commensurate with education and experience.
Reporting to the Program Manager, Rehabilitation, The PT provides leadership, coordination and direction in physical therapy interventions for long term care residents, while leading the site’s therapy team of Aides and Assistants.
The PT functions within the Mission, Vision, and Values of SCF and the standards of professional practice and ensures departmental compliance with continuing care health service standards, accommodation standards, employment and safety-related legislation, codes, and regulation, and SCF policies and procedures.
The PT implements programming to promote and maintain the level of functioning, strength, and mobility for health and wellness of the residents served.
In their practice, the PT is committed to continuous quality improvement.
Consider applying if you are currently registered and have a practice permit with College of Physical Therapists of Alberta (CPTA) and Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA) and can read, write, and speak English fluently, clearly, and efficiently.
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a PT is preferred, however new graduates are welcome to apply.
You have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills and can work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary team to advocate and promote well-being for residents.
Time management skills are essential as is flexibility to accommodate resident needs.
