Temporary Accounting Clerk – Law Firm
North Vancouver, BC | Approximately 4-Week Contract | $25-35 per hour
Arlyn Recruiting is assisting a North Vancouver law firm with the search for a Temporary Accounting Clerk to provide additional support to its accounting team for approximately four weeks.
This is an excellent short-term opportunity for someone with previous office or legal accounting experience who can step into a busy professional environment and assist with day-to-day accounting and administrative responsibilities. Experience with Soluno is strongly preferred, and previous experience working within a law firm would be particularly valuable.
Key Responsibilities
Depending on experience, responsibilities may include:
- Processing routine banking transactions
- Preparing cheque requisitions for lawyers
- Issuing trust cheques, payouts, and trust transfers
- Processing client payments
- Posting disbursements, including agent invoices, BC Online, LTSA, and courier expenses
- Communicating with clients regarding overdue accounts
- Scanning and organizing accounting-related documentation
- Completing VISA reconciliations
- Assisting with monthly billing, including generating pre-bills, making edits, and sending final bills
- Providing other general administrative and accounting support as required
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months of experience in an office environment
- Experience with Soluno is strongly preferred
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Previous legal accounting or law firm experience is an asset
- Experience with NetDocuments is an asset
