Mixer Worker - Production AM/PM

We are looking for Relief Mixer (AM/PM).

Responsibilities & Duties

• Follow production guidelines specification sheets, task sheets, and recipes to produce high-quality cakes and desserts
• Ensure that standard operating procedures are followed for all recipe formulations and department specifications
• Set-up and preparation and cleanliness of the mixing area
• Uphold our BRC (British Retail Consortium) commitments to ensure the food safety and quality
• Mix ingredient batches in exact accordance with the recipe formulation and specifications.
• Supply production team with batch output requirements on a timely, as needed basis.
• Work as a team to achieve daily production yields, efficiency, and productivity targets.
• Ensure all paperwork is kept in order, completed properly, and submitted on time.
• Maintain the highest quality & safety standards, adhering to all GMPs, Policies and Procedures.
• Ensure the area is always kept clean and tidy, to prevent potential contamination and/or injury.
• Prepare QA samples and documentation as needed.

Job Requirements:

• Working AM / PM shift (AM Shift: start times will vary daily between 12 am – 11:45 am) (PM Shift: start times will vary daily between 11:45 am – 12 am)
• Experience in food manufacturing is an asset
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Be able to work quickly, under pressure, and have a sense of urgency
• Strong communication skills
• Physically fit – the ability to lift and push heavy items (20-50 lbs)
• Understanding of weights & measures
• Ability to work 10.5 hour shifts
• Could work independently and with minimal direction
• This position works in production when not working in mixing.

Schedule:

• Shifts are scheduled Monday through Saturday and 10.5 hours in length
• Schedules are posted 2 weeks in advance
• AM shift (start times will vary every day between 12am - 10:45 am)
• PM Shift (start times will vary every day between 11 am - 11:45 pm)
• Example:
  • (For a PM shift if we schedule you at 2:15 PM your shift will end at 12:45 AM)
  • (For an AM shift if we schedule you at 4:00 AM your shift will end at 2:30 AM)

What we provide:

• Great wages! Starting at $23.55/hr. for Mixing and $ 21.67/hr. for Production

• Night Premium is $1.50/hr. (Shifts that are starting between 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM).
