Location: Remote within Canada; occasional travel to Saskatchewan may be required
Contract Term: November 30, 2026 – December 31, 2027
Extension: Two additional one-year terms may be available
Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Saskatchewan time

Position Overview
eHealth Saskatchewan is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the implementation of clinically focused information technology projects, including the eReferral and Central Intake System implementation.
This is a highly visible and challenging project management role requiring an experienced leader capable of managing complex IT initiatives, multiple stakeholders, cross-functional teams, changing priorities, and high-quality deliverables while keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
The successful candidate will report to the Director of Citizen and Referral Services and provide project leadership, decision-making support, delivery oversight, stakeholder management, change management, and governance throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage, schedule, and coordinate all aspects of assigned projects throughout the complete project lifecycle.
- Lead and support proactive, cross-functional project teams consisting of management and non-management resources.
- Establish an environment that promotes teamwork, innovation, initiative, open communication, and accountability.
- Provide project planning, project management, implementation, change management, transition, and communications support.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular reporting to project teams, Steering Committees, sponsors, and senior stakeholders.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all organizational levels and establish clear expectations aligned with the project plan.
- Provide delivery oversight for requirements gathering, detailed design, and future-state development.
- Lead, direct, and manage project resources to ensure effective utilization and delivery.
- Prioritize assignments and coordinate project activities across multiple workstreams.
- Support organizational change associated with project implementation.
- Manage project issues, escalations, decisions, and action tracking.
- Provide decision-making support and maintain appropriate project documentation.
- Coordinate procurement activities and financial tracking for the project.
- Ensure project risks, issues, dependencies, and decisions are appropriately identified, tracked, escalated, and resolved.
- Maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor project performance against schedule, scope, budget, resources, and expected outcomes.
- Provide governance reporting and status updates to project leadership and stakeholders.
- Support transition to operations and project closure activities.
- Mentor and develop project staff while maximizing team performance.
- Perform other project management duties and responsibilities as required by eHealth Saskatchewan.
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements – Must Have
Candidates must meet all of the following requirements:
- Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) designation.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing large-scale IT software or infrastructure projects at a provincial level or equivalent in scope.
- Candidate must be located in Canada and legally permitted to work in Canada.
- Candidate must be available to work full-time during the required Saskatchewan business hours.
- Candidate should be prepared for occasional travel to Saskatchewan, if required.
Preferred / Rated Qualifications
The following experience and qualifications will strengthen a candidate's profile:
- Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
- 5+ years of project management experience in a busy, multifaceted environment.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale IT software or infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience with organizational change management.
- Previous experience working within a healthcare environment, preferably healthcare IT.
- Experience with project planning and estimating.
- Strong experience creating and managing Work Breakdown Structures (WBS).
- Familiarity with current IT platforms, technologies, methodologies, and delivery practices.
- Knowledge of IT support environment processes and information systems.
- Experience working collaboratively with both IT and non-IT stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, sometimes unstructured environment with changing priorities.

Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a senior PMP-certified IT Project Manager with demonstrated success leading large-scale, complex provincial or equivalent IT software/infrastructure initiatives. Healthcare IT experience is highly desirable, particularly experience involving clinically focused systems, multiple stakeholders, organizational change, requirements/design oversight, and enterprise-level implementation.
The candidate must be comfortable operating in a highly visible environment, managing competing priorities, leading cross-functional teams, communicating with senior stakeholders, and maintaining accountability for project timelines, budgets, risks, issues, and deliverables.
