A career as a Private Banking Relationship Manager with the Private Banking 1859 team at National Bank means acting as a credit professional and providing financial planning advice to a high-net-worth clientele. Through your relationship-building and business development skills, your portfolio management experience, and your banking expertise, you make a positive impact on the client, employee, and user experience, while contributing to profitability and client acquisition.

Your Role

  • Build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients and manage their credit portfolio.
  • Act as a strategic advisor by identifying business opportunities and solutions that align with clients’ financial objectives.
  • Develop new relationships by becoming actively involved in your market and working closely with Commercial Banking colleagues on business development efforts.
  • Provide credit solutions and advice across all aspects of wealth management for affluent clients and their families, in partnership with Wealth Advisors.
  • Analyze financial data using advanced financial analysis techniques and prepare financing and credit renewal applications.
  • Help the Bank grow its market share and profitability by delivering banking solutions tailored to clients’ profiles and objectives.

Your Team

Within the Business and Private Banking 1859 sector, you will be part of a team of experienced professionals and report to the Senior Director, Private Banking 1859. Our team stands out through its wealth management expertise, service excellence, exceptional client and employee experience, collaborative culture, and positive work environment.

We promote continuous learning through a variety of development opportunities, including hands-on experience, access to training resources, and collaboration with colleagues from diverse backgrounds and areas of expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4 years of relevant experience, or a completed Master’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Financial Planner (FP/Pl. Fin.) designation is considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of banking products and services for both personal and business clients.
  • Strong client service, business development, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to build strong business relationships
