Job description

Cascadia Metals is seeking a skilled and reliable Certified Millwright to join our team at the Delta branch. In this role, you will play a vital part in maintaining site operations, servicing equipment, and ensuring overall facility safety and efficiency.The ideal candidate thrives in both independent and team-focused manufacturing environments, brings strong technical problem-solving skills, and is comfortable working in standard factory conditions (which can be hot, cold, dusty, or noisy). Shift hours are from 7:00am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday. Key ResponsibilitiesMaintenance & OperationsDemonstrate technical leadership in maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.Perform preventive maintenance tasks as scheduled and assist in building and maintaining a comprehensive preventive maintenance system and spare parts inventory.Diagnose electro-mechanical issues and implement corrective actions to maximize equipment output and operational efficiency.Install, repair, and upgrade electronic controls and plant machinery.Fabrication & Equipment SupportOperate machine shop equipment and assist in designing and fabricating custom machine parts and tooling.Perform site repairs involving steel fabrication and welding as required.Collaborate with and support equipment operators to improve line efficiency and resolve operational bottlenecks.Safety, Teamwork & General DutiesChampion a strong safety culture by strictly adhering to safety protocols and maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.Work collaboratively with team members across departments to support production goals.Perform general housekeeping duties and assist plant staff as needed (some heavy lifting may be required).Qualifications & RequirementsCertification: Certified Journeyman or Red Seal Millwright designation.Technical Expertise: Proven experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.Fabrication Skills: Hands-on experience with steel fabrication and welding.Schematics & Prints: Ability to read and interpret complex electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics and drawings.Control Systems: Fundamental knowledge of PLCs and step ladder logic.Mindset & Safety Focus: Strong commitment to workplace safety, self-motivation to work independently, and a collaborative team attitude.Why Work for Us?We are a growing company that recognizes the importance of supporting our employees.
