Job Description

We are seeking a 3rd or 4th Year Millwright Apprentice to join our growing team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Follow Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure safe, efficient, and consistent operation and maintenance of equipment and processes.

  • Perform safety-related responsibilities, including hazard identification, equipment lockout, and emergency response procedures.

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair mechanical equipment and industrial machinery.

  • Perform preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and maintenance costs and improve equipment efficiency.

  • Perform troubleshooting and repair work; diagnose malfunctions and identify opportunities for optimization.

  • Maintain and troubleshoot industrial equipment and PLC-controlled machinery.

  • Ensure completed work meets applicable regulatory requirements, manufacturer specifications, and internal maintenance procedures.

  • Read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical schematics.

  • Complete and maintain work orders and maintenance documentation.

  • Maintain accurate maintenance, safety, and environmental records.

Qualifications

  • Currently progressing through a Millwright apprenticeship program, with relevant apprenticeship hours completed.

  • Required in-class apprenticeship training completed or in progress.

  • Registered with the applicable provincial skilled trades authority, where required.

  • Willing and able to work day and night shifts, including 8 12 hour shifts.

  • Experience using computer software applicable to maintenance operations.

  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

  • Commitment to safe work practices.
