  • Manage all aspects of workers’ compensation cases: intake, reporting, modified work coordination, follow-ups, and return-to-work plans.
  • Prepare documentation and liaise with WCB and other regulatory bodies to ensure timely and compliant case resolution.
  • Track and manage employee leaves of absence (e.g., medical, maternity, parental, and personal leaves), ensuring alignment with legislation and company policy.

  • Provide support during organizational changes or restructuring
  • Perform additional HR-related duties and special projects as required.
  • Occasional travel to field locations or terminals may be required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of progressive HR Generalist experience, ideally in transportation, logistics, manufacturing, or a similarly fast-paced, operational environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of employment legislation, including the Canada Labour Code and relevant provincial laws for Alberta
  • Strong experience managing workers’ compensation claims and modified work programs.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting workplace investigations and handling complex employee relations issues.
