Job Description
We are currently seeking a qualified LNG specialized Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Energy team, based out of any of our Bantrel offices; Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon or Toronto or the option to be 100% remote within Canada. The Senior Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for reviewing and evaluating LNG Tank specifications and data sheets and will lead LNG Tank design and evaluation.
Join us in this part-time flexible 'on-call' role.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
Review of LNG Tank deliverables such as data sheets, specifications, material requisitions, etc.;
LNG Tank design and evaluation;
Coordinate assigned work with other technical personnel as required;
Review design documents of equipment manufacturer’s or subcontractors, and prepare comments and recommendations accordingly;
Participate in reviewing and checking designs, drawings and data by other engineers / specialists or by suppliers;
Familiar with all engineering department procedures and their application to projects;
Knowledge of design standards and guides applicable to the LNG Storage Tank; and
Participate in and fosters a work environment that is based upon openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction.
Qualifications
A recognized mechanical engineering degree from an accredited university and registration as a Professional Engineer.
10 to 15 years of relevant LNG Storage Tank design experience
Experience in LNG project pressure equipment or in an operating LNG plant is considered an asset.
Knowledge of industry / regulatory codes and standards such as CSA Z276, ASME, ASTM, API 620/625, etc.
