We are currently hiring a Financial Analyst Co-Op Student for the January to April term to join our Financial Planning and Analysis team based at our Head Office in Burnaby, reporting to the Assistant Manager, Finance.
In this role, you will gain hands-on experience contributing to the financial analysis and reporting that inform business decisions and support BCAA’s strategic goals. Through coaching and mentorship from experienced Finance professionals, you will apply your classroom learning in real-world situations, build your FP&Aknowledgeand develop practical analytical and communication skills.

Whatyou’lldo:
Partner with Senior Financial Analysts to interpret financial data and develop insights that support business decision-making.
Perform financial and strategic analysis, including actual-to-budget comparisons, KPIanalysisand trend analysis.
Use financial systems and tools to extract,analyzeand interpret data for reporting and analysis.
Support data validation and reconciliation activities to help ensure financial information isaccurateand complete.
Present your work clearly and effectively through written analysis, formalpresentationsand day-to-day team discussions.
Contribute to process improvement,automationand efficiency initiatives, including the use of AI whereappropriate.
Collaborate with Accounting, FinanceOperationsand other internal teams to gain exposure to end-to-end finance processes.
Complete other related tasks andprojects asassigned.
What you bring:
Current enrolment in an undergraduate program with a concentration in commerce, business administration,financeor a related field.
Up to one year of relevant experience or exposure in finance or accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
An interest in financial modelling, analysis and turning data into useful insights and presentations.
Exposure to Excel, Word,PowerPointor other financial analysis software is an asset.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize yourtimeand work independently whenrequired.
Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to understand and clarify instructions,questionsand expectations.
Strong attention to detail anda commitmentto accuracy.
A willingness to learn, ask questions and approach unfamiliar tasks with curiosity.
The salary range for this position is $25.70/hour to $32.12/hour and is determined via job-related knowledge, skills, experience, certifications, market demand and internal equity. In addition to base salary and BCAA benefits, this position is eligible for a performance bonus target of 5%, with the opportunity to earn up to 9%.
