Kelly Services is recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturer in Brampton that is seeking an experienced Tool & Die Maker to join its Manufacturing Engineering team.
If you have strong traditional toolroom experience and enjoy a combination of toolmaking, troubleshooting, and manufacturing support, this could be an excellent fit.
What You'll Be Doing

• Build, modify, repair, and maintain tooling and dies
• Support manufacturing operations through tooling repairs and troubleshooting
• Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, and other toolroom equipment
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Machine precision components to required tolerances
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble tooling
• Measure and inspect machined parts using metric and imperial measuring instruments
• Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to improve tooling performance and reliability
• Continue developing technical skills, including exposure to CNC equipment and processes

This position is approximately:

• 60% manufacturing support, troubleshooting, and repairs
• 40% toolmaking, fabrication, and modifications

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 5 years of Tool & Die, toolroom, or related machining experience
• Strong traditional machining experience with manual equipment
• Experience supporting manufacturing operations through tooling repair and troubleshooting
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
• Strong understanding of precision measurement and machining tolerances
• Effective verbal and written English communication skills
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
• Willingness to learn and develop additional technical skills, including CNC machining
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

A Tool & Die Maker licence is considered an asset but is not required.
Schedule

• Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• Friday: 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM
• 40-hour work week
• Minimal overtime
