Automotive experience preferredAdvance knowledge in computer software for windowsGood knowledge of GD&T, math data analysis based on OEM StandardExcellent English Communication Skills (oral and written)Excellent organizational and time management skillsExcellent trouble shooting and problem solving skillsFamiliar with IATF 16949 Quality Management SystemProduct and process knowledge of suspension, structural – BIWThe Quality Assurance Engineer must have excellent attendanceAbility to travel outside of the country on short notice to visit customer/supplier locationsAbility to work efficiently with minimum and/or no supervision and directionsAbility to work in a team environment and to be a team playerAbility to maintain records in an organized and tidy mannerSupport the Quality System, OHSMS, and Environmental Management System requirementsEssential Functions:Responsible for trouble shooting root cause analysis, SPC & CMM data analysisParticipate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) of assigned programs and ensuring all related documentations are up to dateConduct capability studies and gauge R & R analysisFamiliar with vision, scanning, tools for measurementsCreating quality documents in compliance with the company's quality system requirementsCoordinate and responsible for PPAP submissions within specified timeframeTo review and make recommendations for the disposition of non-conforming productsAssist in variability reduction, process improvement and continuous improvement related to critical characteristicsTo notify internal and external customers of potential quality problems and make recommendations for resolution and improvementResponsible for the successful project completion via participating in the resolution of issues such as conflicting design requirements, safety concerns, unsuitability of standard material and difficult coordination requirementsManaging assigned project activities and to facilitate participation of appropriate staff in project completionIdentify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality system & initiate action and resolution to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity, stop production if necessary to correct quality problemsControl further processing, delivery or installation of non-conforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been correctedResponsible for initiation of containment activities and development of containment methodReview and understand changes in CSRs and implement it.Working Environment:Both office setting and production environment50% office, 50% plant floor (PPE required)Flexible hours as requiredPhysical Demands:Require communication with employees, peers, and managementLifting and pushing as neededAbility to work on computer for long periods of timeHealth, Safety and Environment: Must work in accordance with health and safety regulations, company rules, plant rules, policies, and proceduresMust use or wear equipment, protective devices or certain clothing as required by the company.All employees are prohibited from walking under a suspended hoist, cranes, or forklifts.All employees must follow all LOTO proceduresComply with all environmental requirements including our recycling program.Benefits:Working in a great inclusive team environmentMedical, Dental and Extended Health Care insurance coverageGroup Retirement Savings PlanLife insurance coverageAccidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance coverageSafety shoes and prescription safety glasses reimbursementSupplier vehicle discountsTuition reimbursement and career advancement opportunities Martinrea International Inc. is proud to provide employment accommodation during the recruitment process.
