We're a passionate group of people who love collaborating on innovative and challenging projects.About this roleWe are recruiting for a Warehouse Coordinator to join our Warehouse in Victoria, BC, serving as the primary warehouse contact for the branch.This role supports day-to-day warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, material handling, tool and equipment coordination, deliveries, and inventory and asset management. The Warehouse Coordinator works closely with field and project teams to ensure materials, tools, equipment, and other company assets are organized, readily available, and accurately tracked.Here's how your role will strengthen our team.Your responsibilitiesManage shipping, receiving, and inventory activities, including inspecting, labeling, storing, tracking, and maintaining accurate documentation and recordsCoordinate the distribution and movement of materials, tools, and equipment to support field operations, projects, and service teamsAdminister asset and inventory control processes, including tool/equipment tracking, transfers, audits, cycle counts, and record maintenancePrepare and inspect materials, tools, and equipment for pickup, delivery, shipment, transfer, and return, ensuring items are safe, complete, and operationalSupport safe and efficient warehouse operations by operating material handling equipment, maintaining warehouse organization, and assisting with logistics and branch operationsYour experience and skillsHigh School Diploma2+ years of warehouse, material handling, construction, logistics experience, or related experienceValid Class 5 driver's license with the ability to drive a cube truckExperience managing administrative tasks in a warehouse setting, tool and equipment tracking inventory control, and fleet coordinationProficient with basic computer software applications - experience using Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook. Experience using JD Edwards or other ERP systems an assetCurrent forklift certification an asset, or willingness to be trainedStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail and able to maintain accurate recordsStrong customer service focus, with good interpersonal skills when supporting field and office teamsOrganized and able to manage multiple, competing and changing priorities in a warehouse environmentKnowledge of the electrical industry an assetAbout Houle As BC's leading electrical contractor and systems integrator, we believe in delivering safe, reliable power for the future.
