Working alongside a collaborative team within a dedicated analytics capability center, you will transform complex data assets into actionable insights that directly benefit citizens. Note: this position is primarily remote, frequency of on-site meeting could be up to 3-4 times per fiscal year at the cost of the contractor (if not situated in Edmonton).

Responsibilities• Build, train, and integrate machine learning models to support organizational policy and service delivery.
• Clean, normalize, and organize raw datasets from various internal and external sources.
• Conduct statistical analyses using classification techniques such as clustering and logistic regression.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify suitable applications for machine learning capabilities.
• Create clear data visualizations, dashboards, and reports to communicate analytical findings to stakeholders.
• Establish auditing, accountability, and privacy compliance mechanisms for deployed artificial intelligence solutions.
• Gather business requirements and document technical metadata for analytical data products.
Qualifications• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or a related field of study.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience using statistical programming languages including Python, R, and SQL.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience building quantitative analysis models and preparing data for predictive modeling.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience applying machine learning methods such as anomaly detection and automated data transformation.
• Experience working with statistical classification techniques including k-means, hierarchical clustering, and partition trees.
