Senior Manager - Enterprise Data Management-

Opportunity Details

LeverageTek is actively seeking a Senior Manager - Enterprise Data Management for a permanent position with its Ottawa-based customer.

Work Location

The successful candidate will be required to work on-site 1x / week at the customer headquarters in Ottawa, ON.

Security Requirement

Must have a Government of Canada Enhanced Reliability Clearance.

Key Tasks

Play a critical role in driving the development, implementation, and optimization of our data platform, ensuring it meets the needs of our organization and supports our strategic objectives.

This includes : Planning, designing and leading the implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) and Analytics architecture

• Leading architecture sizing and scaling activities, including solutions
• Managing implementation and day-to-day operation of BI / Analytics solutions Performing cost-benefit and return on investment analysis for proposed solutions to assist management with implementation decisions
• Responsible for collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data solutions
• Responsible for developing and implementing data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance
• Will need to drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the performance, reliability, and usability of the data platform
• This position will provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence
• This role is also responsible for collaborating with Business IM / IT Product teams and other Platform teams in support of their delivery roadmaps, sprint planning, process improvement, and technology planning
• Leveraging experience in Agile and Project Management Frameworks, product management, and working with fusion teams (IT and Business)
• Need to be a strong collaborator engage internal and external stakeholders and have a good understanding of technology and articulate the value to both IT and Non-IT audiences

Key Qualifications

• Recent management / leadership experience leading an Enterprise Data Management team including ownership of the implementation and day-to-day operation of BI / Analytics solutions
• Experience In successfully leading data platform initiatives from conception to implementation within Enterprise-wide environments
• Knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks, data architecture, data modeling, and database design principles and proficiency in data engineering concepts and technologies, including data warehousing, ETL (Extract, Transform, Load), data modeling, and data integration

Qualifications

• Experience working in an Agile environment and familiarity with Agile methodologies
• Experience with Data / Software integration technologies (Azure Integration Services, BizTalk or others)
• Experience Microsoft Azure Data platform
• Knowledge of big data technologies and frameworks, data architecture, data modeling, and database design principles
