Job Description

Posted Tuesday, August 4, 2026 at 8:00 AM

At Canada Diagnostic Centres, we are driven by helping Canadians access diagnostic services and providing remarkable experiences to our patients every day. Our care is compassionate, accurate, and timely to help patients make progress in their health journey. We live by a mantra of “Remarkable Care. Remarkable Careers.”

We are currently looking for certified, or soon to be certified, X-Ray Technologists (Medical Radiology Technologists) to join our expanding outpatient clinics in a casual position. Working collaboratively with radiologists and other healthcare professionals, you’ll explain procedures, position patients, adjust equipment, and capture diagnostic images. Bringing compassion and clarity to each patient interaction, you’ll help ensure remarkable care every visit.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Perform X-Ray Exams: Conduct standardized and complex imaging under the direction of radiologists and referring physicians, while adhering to departmental protocols and guidelines.
  • Provide Remarkable Care: Explain exams and procedures, address questions, ease concerns, and help patients feel comfortable.
  • Collaborate with Clinic Teams: Partner with radiologists and other teams to help deliver a seamless and thoughtful experience.
  • Expand Expertise: Engage in ongoing professional development to refine existing skills, build new competencies, and cross-train in additional modalities such as Bone Mineral Density, Mammography, or Fluoroscopy.
  • Ensure Compliance: Follow privacy, confidentiality, safety, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and Troubleshoot Systems: Track X-Ray equipment performance, document findings, and assist in resolving basic issues.
  • Prepare and Maintain Work Areas: Prepare and stock exam rooms for patient exams and procedures; report low inventory as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Professional Membership: Active registration (or eligibility) with CAMRT & ACMDTT or CSCLXT & ACCLXT.
  • X-Ray Experience: Clinical competency in radiography with an interest in refining and expanding skills.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Exposure to mammography with CAMRT Breast Imaging 1 or equivalent, is an asset. Exposure to fluoroscopy, bone mineral density or interventional X-Ray procedures is also valuable.
  • A Compassionate Approach: A history of remarkable care, collaboration, adaptability, and flexibility.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Pay: Industry-leading wages, vacation pay, and unique additional earning opportunities.
  • Health & Wellness: Access to our Employee & Family Assistance Program.
  • Learning & Development: Specialized training opportunities.
  • Comprehensive Onboarding: Hands‑on structured training.
  • Long-Term Savings Program: RRSP/TFSA plan.
  • Professional Licensing Support: Funding for CAMRT and ACMDTT, or CSCLXT and ACCLXT, memberships and insurance.

Additional Information

  • Position Type: Casual
  • Work Location: Clinic assignments will be discussed during the candidacy process and guided by operational needs and professional development, with preferences considered where possible.
  • Out-of-Province Applicants: Eligibility for registration with CAMRT and ACMDTT or CSCLXT & ACCLXT is required.
  • Students and Recent Graduates: Applications welcome.
