Job description
Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Assistant, where your enthusiasm and dedication will help create a vibrant and efficient food service environment. In this role, you will support food preparation, ensure food safety standards are maintained, and assist with serving customers in a fast-paced setting. Your energy and attention to detail will contribute to delivering delicious meals and exceptional service every day. Responsibilities:
  • Assist with food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning meals to ensure timely service.
  • Cleaning of cooking area, washing of plates and kitchen utensils.
  • Support cooking activities by following recipes and safety guidelines to produce high-quality dishes.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen workstations, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards.
  • Help with food handling procedures, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients to prevent spoilage.
  • Serve customers efficiently and courteously at the counter or serving stations, ensuring a positive dining experience.
  • Follow health and safety regulations diligently during all food handling and preparation processes.
  • Support inventory management by restocking supplies and notifying supervisors of low stock levels.
  • Any other duties assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in food service, restaurant work, or the food industry is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is key.
  • Basic knowledge of food handling practices and safety protocols.
  • Ability to perform meal preparation tasks accurately and efficiently in a busy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail when serving, cleaning, and maintaining hygiene standards.
  • Good communication skills for teamwork and customer interactions.
  • Willingness to follow instructions carefully and adhere to all health regulations.
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks such as lifting or moving supplies.
