• Pay Rate: $103.37/hour, depending on experience

Raise is currently hiring a Senior SAP EAM Functional Consultant on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader. Our Client, is one of the largest electrical energy suppliers in Canada

Note: The primary pay rate is based on T4 classification; however, we will also consider applications from candidates interested in an INC classification, where applicable.

Description

The Senior SAP EAM Functional Consultantin this role will deliver expert SAP implementation, enhancement, and production support services for our clients asset management ecosystem. Acting as a lead consultant, this resource will support both ongoing sustainment and major project initiatives across Generation/Stations, Transmission, and Distribution operations.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across the SAP S/4HANA EAM portfolio—including Fiori, Phase-Based Maintenance (PBM), SSAM, and FSM—and is equally adept at leading stakeholder workshops, configuring complex asset solutions, drafting functional specifications, and identifying opportunities for automation and AI-driven efficiency within utility asset management.

Responsibilities

• Solution Design & Technical Leadership
• End-to-End Delivery: Lead functional design, fit-gap analyses, business process workshops, and system configuration following BC Hydro guidelines and utility industry best practices.
• Fiori & User Experience: Lead the design and enhancement of SAP Fiori-based business processes to improve field usability, mobile adoption, and operational efficiency.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with ABAP, BASIS, Security, and Fiori development teams to architect integrated solutions, prepare functional specs, and create proof-of-concept (POC) prototypes.
• Full Lifecycle Execution: Drive projects from requirement gathering through unit/integration testing, cutover, go-live, and hypercare support.
• Functional & Process Mastery
• Asset Management Integration: Configure and support core SAP EAM structures, including Functional Locations, Equipment, Notifications, Work Orders, Maintenance Plans, Checklists, and EAM-to-QM integrations.
• Advanced Work Management: Design and support Phase-Based Maintenance (PBM), SAP Service and Asset Manager (SSAM), and SAP Field Service Management (FSM) workflows for field personnel.
• Documentation & Governance: Maintain rigorous standards by authoring detailed functional specifications, process flows, custom reports, interfaces, enhancements, forms, and workflows (RICEFW).
• Advisory & Innovation
• Stakeholder Engagement: Facilitate workshops with business and IT leaders, bridging the gap between operational asset management needs and standard SAP capabilities.
• Process Automation & AI: Identify opportunities to leverage modern SAP capabilities—including SAP BTP, SAP Build Process Automation, and SAP Business AI/Joule—to streamline utility maintenance workflows.
• Knowledge Transfer: Provide guidance, coaching, and knowledge transfer to internal BC Hydro staff and project team members.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of SAP implementation, enhancement, and production support experience, including integrating SAP with complex enterprise applications.
• Lead/Architecture Experience: 5+ years in a lead consultant, integration lead, or solution architect capacity across enterprise-level engagements.
• EAM Expertise: 8+ years of dedicated SAP EAM / Plant Maintenance (PM) functional consulting experience, with strong hands-on SAP S/4HANA EAM exposure.
• Core Technical Competencies:
• Extensive hands-on experience with SAP Fiori Applications, Fiori Launchpad configuration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Practical experience with Phase-Based Maintenance (PBM), SAP Service and Asset Manager (SSAM), and SAP Field Service Management (FSM).
• Hands-on knowledge of Work Management, Maintenance Planning, Asset Structures, and EAM/QM integration.
• Preferred & Nice-to-Have Skills
• Utility Industry Experience: Prior experience supporting utility operations, specifically within Generation/Stations, Transmission Lines, or Distribution Lines.
• Experience with GIS integrations, Work Management systems, and utility-specific asset toolsets.
• Modern SAP Ecosystem:
• Familiarity with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform) and SAP Integration Suite.
• Exposure to SAP Business AI, Joule, SAP Build Process Automation, SAP Build Apps, and SAP Build Work Zone.
• Methodology & Training: Experience working within Agile/hybrid delivery models and creating job aids, user documentation, and end-user training materials.
• Education and certificates
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, or a related discipline (or equivalent relevant professional experience).
• Professional SAP certification in S/4HANA Asset Management, EAM/Plant Maintenance, or SAP Fiori.
