About the Role

Our growing engineering team help public and private clients plan, assess, and deliver innovative water, wastewater, and stormwater systems and infrastructure across Canada and in challenging environments.
We’re seeking anIntermediate Civil Conveyance / Municipal Engineerto join our dynamic team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone who is nimble and innovative, enjoys technical design work, values collaboration, and is eager to take on more project leadership responsibility as their career grows.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Support theplanning, design, and deliveryof municipal conveyance and civil infrastructure projects, includingwater, wastewater, and stormwater conveyance systems.
- Prepare and reviewengineering drawings, reports, and specificationsunder the supervision of senior engineers or project managers.
- Conductfield reviews, data collection, and inspectionsto support design accuracy and construction quality.
- Contribute toproject management, ensuring deliverables, schedules, and budgets are met.
- Collaborate withclients, contractors, regulators, and multidisciplinary teamsto facilitate project success.
- Apply sound engineering judgment inhydraulic analysis, layout development, and design detailing.
- Assist intender preparation, cost estimating, and construction supportactivities.
- Supportproposal preparation, technical presentations, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Support multi-sector asset management projects.
- Participate in knowledge sharing and process enhancement across the engineering team.
Experience
- 4–8 yearsof progressive experience inmunicipal or civil conveyance engineeringwithin a consulting or public infrastructure setting.
- Proven exposure toproject management processesincluding scope, schedule, and budget tracking.
- Technical experience withwater distribution, wastewater collection, and stormwater managementsystems.
- Experience with trenchless rehabilitation and construction of pipelines
- Familiarity withconstruction administration, including review of submittals, site coordination, and RFIs.
- Experience withcondition assessment, asset management, or rehabilitation planning
- Comfortable collaborating withmunicipalities, utilities, and regulatory agenciesin Western Canada.
- Experience with business development and proposal writing considered an asset
- Experience in inspection and condition assessment of water and wastewater conveyance system
- Examples of successful collaboration on multidisciplinary teams, where your technical contribution made a difference.
- Experience with PCSWMM, InfoWorks ICM and other hydraulic modeling software considered an asset.
- Experience in asset and infrastructure management considered a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree inCivil Engineeringfrom a recognized institution.
- Registered or eligible for registration as aProfessional Engineer (P.Eng.)with APEGA or another Canadian regulator.
- Proficiency withAutoCAD,Civil 3D, ArcGIS and/or drafting software
- Strong understanding ofmunicipal design standards, codes, and best practices.
- Excellentcommunication, organization, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and adapt in ahybrid work environment.
