Position Overview

Durwest Construction Management Inc. (Durwest) is hiring a Project Coordinator to support the successful execution of construction projects from mobilization through close-out. This role is central to managing documentation coordinating communications and maintaining project workflows to keep teams aligned and projects on track.

As a Project Coordinator you will work closely with Project Managers Superintendents and project stakeholders to ensure construction documentation is accurate up to date and accessible. Your work will help maintain momentum across project milestones and strengthen our commitment to quality communication and client satisfaction.

Key Focus Areas

Project Setup Coordination

• Assist with project start-up activities including tracking of initial contract documents required from trades
• Manage and organize project documentation using Procore ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal standards
• Coordinate weekly trade and consultant meetings prepare and distribute meeting minutes and track action items
• Support communication between project stakeholders and team members to ensure alignment on scope schedule and deliverables
  

Cost Budget Management

• Track andsubmitconsultant contractor and DCM labour invoices for review and approval
• Create commitments in Procore
• Assistwith project forecasting cost tracking and change management documentation
• Coordinatetimelysubmission of change orders CCNs and supporting documentation including trade costing input

Construction Stakeholder Coordination

• Coordinate and manage shop drawings and submittals ensuring timely review distribution and tracking in Procore
• Support drawing updates markups and consultant-issued Site Instructions and field reviews
• Maintain and update drawing and specification logs and submittal schedules

Project Close-Out

• Coordinate project close-out documentation including O&M manuals as-built drawings warranties and occupancy certificates
• Prepare and maintain the close-out calendar and checklist and track key milestones and contractual requirements
• Assist with warranty documentation and ongoing communication during the warranty period

Who You Are

You are a proactive and organized project professional with a passion for construction and collaboration. You thrive on bringing clarity to complex processes supporting technical teams and ensuring project details are well managed and executed. You are tech-savvy and adaptable. Youre comfortable working in a dynamic environment able to discern priorities and get deliverables to project stakeholders quickly.

Qualifications

• 24 years of experience in a project coordination or construction support role ideally within commercial institutional or multi-family residential projects
• Understanding of construction documents drawings and specifications
• Proficiencywith Microsoft Office Suite (Word Excel Outlook)
• Strong organizational communication and time management skills with a keen eye for detail
• Experience with Procore is an asset
• Diploma or certificate in construction management or a related field is an asset
