SCHEDULE: 33.45 hours per week, DAY; MONDAY to FRIDAY - 08:30 to 16:30 - Temporary position until December 2028

WORKING MODE: Hybrid

The challenges that await you

Reporting to your supervisor, you will be tasked with supporting businesses in the region to meet their labor needs. In this capacity, you contribute to the implementation of workforce promotion strategies by stimulating regional collaboration and coordinating actions carried out by various partners and socio-economic stakeholders in the Laval region.

You will act as a resource person for workforce promotion for businesses and the City. You will initiate, coordinate, and participate in promotional and training activities. You will conduct strategic monitoring, perform research, formulate recommendations, and participate in establishing intervention strategies for Laval businesses and foreign temporary workers regarding international mobility.

More specifically, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting businesses by developing, in close collaboration with the community, mechanisms and tools that facilitate the recruitment of labor from Quebec and abroad;
  • Gathering labor needs from Laval businesses, identifying opportunities, and developing strategies and action plans to address the labor challenges in the area;
  • Designing, developing, and proposing projects, programs, and procedures related to your area of expertise and ensuring compliance once approved;
  • Acting as a resource person, responding to requests, providing relevant information and explanations, and ensuring the dissemination of information when required;
  • Collaborating and/or participating with partners (Montréal International, MESI, etc.) in missions abroad for talent attraction;
  • Conducting strategic monitoring and staying informed about market trends and any information and working methods that could improve the Service's activities and support for businesses. Formulating appropriate recommendations regarding potential impacts and necessary changes. Developing and maintaining various tools and making them available to the served clientele.
The ideal profile for us
  • Holding a bachelor's degree in a relevant field;
  • Having five (5) years of experience in relevant functions, particularly in human resources, recruitment, employability, and strategic business support;
  • Experience in designing and implementing support processes (diagnosis, action plan, follow-up);
  • Membership in the Order of Certified Human Resources Advisors - CRHA is desirable.
