Our purpose – the essence of SFU – is to create and connect knowledge, learning and community for deeper understanding and meaningful impact. We are committed to fostering excellence, innovation, belonging and community in all that we do.

Campus Services, reporting to the Vice President Finance and Administration, is one of SFU's most dynamic portfolios, delivering services that shape the student, employee, and visitor experience across all campuses. Our diverse teams oversee student housing, food services, childcare, parking and sustainable mobility, bookstore and document solutions, meetings, events and conference services, and major strategic initiatives. We are committed to innovation, service excellence, sustainability, inclusion, and continuous improvement. Our collaborative and supportive culture values curiosity, creativity, and data-informed decision-making. Joining our team means contributing to projects that have a visible impact on campus life and the university's strategic priorities.

About the Role

The Business Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in advancing Campus Services’ strategic priorities through data-informed decision-making, business process improvement, digital transformation, and organizational effectiveness. Reporting to the Executive Director, Campus Services, this position works collaboratively with leaders, staff, and university partners to identify opportunities for innovation, streamline processes, improve service delivery, and support evidence-based planning across a diverse and evolving portfolio. Upcoming initiatives include service modernization projects, business intelligence and reporting enhancements, digital workflow optimization, enterprise system integrations, strategic planning support, and the continued evolution of SFU’s credential ecosystem and customer service technologies. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful, visible impact on the future of campus services and the university community.

We are seeking a collaborative, curious, and solutions-oriented professional who thrives in complex environments and enjoys turning ideas into practical improvements. The ideal candidate combines strong business analysis, process improvement, and data analytics skills with the ability to build relationships and influence diverse stakeholders. They are an effective communicator who can translate business needs into actionable solutions and navigate competing priorities with confidence. Success in this role requires critical thinking, adaptability, sound judgment, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Experience leading change, leveraging technology to improve services, and supporting strategic decision-making will be highly valued.
