About this roleWe are recruiting for a Project Manager/Estimator, Preventive Maintenance to join our Service Division in Burnaby. Here's how your role will strengthen our team.Houle's preventative maintenance and power quality services team provide routine inspections and repairs to keep our customers' electrical systems safe, reliable, and efficient. We work directly with clients on a range of projects and service calls, including infrared scanning, electrical distribution maintenance, high-voltage equipment upgrades, UPS and generator servicing, arc flash and power studies, annual operating permits, and electrical planning reports.Supported by a growing, highly skilled team, you'll have the opportunity to apply your technical expertise, project management, estimating, and customer service skills to ensure project success and build long-term client relationships.Your responsibilitiesIdentify and pursue new business opportunitiesBuild strong relationships with suppliers, consultants, contractors, and end usersReview contracts and address unfavorable clauses and conditionsTake ownership of project financial performanceEstimate costs, manage changes, and prepare tendersSource and purchase materials and equipmentCollaborate with the Power Quality Manager, Coordinators, and Service Electricians to schedule preventative maintenance and small projectsOversee projects and maintain a regular presence on job sitesReview labour and job status reports for accuracy and adjust as neededArrange completion of project manuals and Power Quality reportsEnsure deficiencies are resolved promptly by Service ElectriciansConfirm as-built drawings are completed and delivered to customersWrap up projects by reviewing successes and challenges with the foreman and superintendentFinalize documentation to ensure accurate billing and project closeoutYour experience and skillsElectrical trade certificate, Electrical Engineering degree, or Electrical Technologist diploma1-2 years of experience in electrical project management and/or estimatingExperience and knowledge of Power Quality or Preventative Maintenance, assetExperience with estimating software, especially Accubid Pro and Change Order, assetFSR B or A certification, assetBasic understanding of arc flash studies, infrared scanning, and vault maintenance, assetFamiliarity with high voltage work, assetSharp attention to detail and strong organizational skillsSolid computer skills, including MS Office applicationsAbout HouleAs BC's leading electrical contractor and systems integrator, we believe in delivering safe, reliable power for the future.
