Job description
Elevate your career as a Labour Relations Officer for the City of Hamilton. This role focuses on implementing labour policies, negotiating agreements, and providing expert advice in a dynamic community. As a Labour Relations Officer, you will report to the Manager of Labour Relations and deliver a comprehensive range of labour relations guidance to various departments. Your responsibilities will include developing proactive policies, assisting in collective agreement negotiations, and offering advice on staff relations issues. The position demands sound judgement and a proactive approach to grievance resolution and legislative compliance. Key Responsibilities: • Develop and implement proactive labour relations policies • Assist in negotiating collective agreements for the City • Provide advice on grievance resolution and best practices • Prepare for mediation and arbitration cases • Analyze changes in legislation affecting labour relations Requirements: • Proven experience in labour relations or employee relations • Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities • Knowledge of Labour Legislation and Collective Agreements • Valid Class G Driver's Licence and vehicle access Bring your expertise in labour relations to help shape a fair working environment for all City of Hamilton employees. #J-18808-Ljbffr
