Job description
Join McMaster University as the Chief Nuclear Officer (CNO) and lead its renowned nuclear facilities. Your long-standing experience will be pivotal in research and operations management. As the CNO, you will provide executive leadership over McMaster’s nuclear facilities, ensuring their operational safety and regulatory adherence. You will strategize to align nuclear initiatives with the university's broader research objectives and will engage with stakeholders to enhance collaboration. Your in-depth knowledge of nuclear safety regulation will ensure McMaster maintains its status as a leader in nuclear research. Key Responsibilities: • Execute McMaster’s Strategic Nuclear Plan effectively • Monitor compliance with nuclear safety standards • Direct risk management and safety protocols • Build strategic partnerships for nuclear projects • Optimize service delivery across nuclear operations Requirements: • Master’s degree in Nuclear Engineering or related field • At least 15 years in nuclear industry, with 7 in senior positions • Strong grasp of nuclear regulations and safety • Proven compliance and risk management skills • Additional nuclear safety qualifications preferred Champion nuclear innovation and safety at McMaster University's esteemed facilities. #J-18808-Ljbffr
