Job description
Jim Pattison Subaru Northshore is looking for a Level 4 Apprentice Technician or Red Seal Automotive Technician to join our Service this role youll diagnose service and repair Subaru vehicles while completing work safely efficiently and to a high standard. Youll work alongside an experienced team and handle a variety of repairs and maintenance with opportunities to continue building your technical skills and looking for someone who takes pride in their work pays attention to detail and is comfortable working in a busy dealership environment. Whether youre finishing your apprenticeship or are an experienced Red Seal Technician this is a great opportunity to join the team at Jim Pattison Subaru Northshore and continue building your : Northshore Auto Mall 809 Automall Dr North Vancouver BC V7P 3R8A Day in the LifeDiagnose repair and maintain vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standardsPerform thorough vehicle inspections with accurate documentation and measurementsIdentify mechanical and electrical issues recommend solutions and communicate findings clearly to Service teamPartner with Service Advisors to provide updates on repair timelines or recommend additional safety workConduct road tests and pre-delivery inspections on new inventory to ensure every vehicle leaving the shop is in top conditionCoordinate with the Parts Department to source what you need and manage warranty labelingAssist fellow technicians when needed to maintain overall shop productivityMaintain a clean safe and organized work environment at all timesFollow all company policies procedures and safety standardsEnsure a high degree of confidentiality with company and customer informationParticipate in maintaining a supportive and engaging working environmentWhat Were Looking ForLevel 4 Apprentice Technician or Red Seal Certified or candidates who are currently eligible and actively pursuing Red Seal certificationPrevious experience as an automotive technician is requiredA valid BC Drivers license is required including a satisfactory Drivers Abstract is requiredAble to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehiclesStrong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills with a keen attention to detailDetail oriented with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilitiesAbility to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a teamReliable punctual and dependableAbility to work the physical requirements of a service technician roleAbility to regularly lift up to 60 poundsAbility to stand for extended periods of timeHigh level of mobility dexterity endurance and sensory awarenessAbility to work in an automotive shop environmentIndoor automotive shop with multiple service baysExposure to noise (engines air tools) fumes (exhaust solvents) and dustWork performed around moving vehicles hoists and heavy equipmentTemperature can vary (shops may be cooler in winter warmer in summer despite heating/ventilation)What We OfferCompetitive hourly compensation: $35.33$39.25 per hour flat rate depending on certification and benefits package including health dental and insuranceUnlimited opportunities for advancement growth and developmentAccess to exclusive corporate discount programsRecognition and rewards programsA great team atmosphere and a positive supportive working environmentHow to ApplyIf this sounds like a great fit please apply with your resume today!Visit our Careers Page to explore more opportunities: role requires successful candidates to submit a satisfactory Drivers thank all applicants for their interest; however only those selected for interviews will be are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to creating an inclusive and accessible workplace.
