Job description
Join MacEwan University as the Director of Government Relations, a full-time role enhancing institutional engagement with government. Your leadership will drive effective advocacy strategies. As Director, you will develop and implement comprehensive government relations strategies directly supporting institutional priorities. Leading initiatives with the AVP, you will navigate government priorities while building vital relationships with stakeholders. Analytical and strategic skills are crucial for fostering mutual understanding and collaboration. Key Responsibilities: • Drive the implementation of government relations initiatives • Assess government policies and funding opportunities • Map and develop relationships with key political figures • Lead preparation of policy analysis and stakeholder assessments • Oversee coordinated government advocacy efforts across the institution Requirements: • Bachelor's degree in relevant field such as political science • Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in public policy • Proven experience in stakeholder management and engagement • Established governmental connections in Alberta preferred • Experience in a university setting is advantageous Leverage your expertise to influence government relations and drive MacEwan University’s strategic goals. #J-18808-Ljbffr
