Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Liability Claims Adjuster for a permanent, direct hire opportunity in downtown Hamilton, ON. This role is ideal for a claims professional with strong bodily injury claims experience, litigation file management expertise, and the ability to evaluate liability, negotiate settlements, and drive files toward effective resolution.

The successful Claims Adjuster will manage moderate to complex liability claims, provide high-quality service to brokers and clients, and use sound judgment to make timely, well-supported claims decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, evaluate, negotiate, and resolve moderate to complex liability claims within delegated authority.
- Conduct and coordinate loss investigations, gather accurate information, assess coverage, and evaluate liability and damages.
- Establish, document, and maintain appropriate loss and expense reserves, adjusting reserves as claim exposures evolve.
- Manage claim inventory, diary systems, pending files, and litigation-managed claims to ensure timely file progression.
- Select and manage external counsel, independent adjusters, and third-party experts as required.
- Prepare large-loss reports and provide clear, timely claim updates to brokers, clients, internal teams, and other stakeholders.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary range: $70,000 to $95,000 per year.
- Permanent, direct hire position.
