About the Role
Our Plumbers perform skilled journey-level plumbing work involving the maintenance, repair, testing, and installation of plumbing and associated mechanical systems throughout the university. The role supports the continuous operation of campus facilities by ensuring building systems function reliably, comply with applicable codes and regulations, and meet the needs of a diverse university community. The incumbent diagnoses system issues, executes preventative and corrective maintenance activities, responds to emergencies, and contributes technical expertise to maintenance and construction projects, while promoting workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
Qualifications
Red Seal Plumbing certificate, Class B Gas Fitter certificate, and five years experience in areas such as in-site service and building preventative maintenance, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Valid BC driver's license (Class 5) and basic computer skills required.
