Description

The Victoria Regional Laundry is a centralized industrial laundry facility located in Victoria (adjacent to Victoria General Hospital) and services health care facilities on southern Vancouver Island. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager Supervisor or designate the Electrician / Laundry Maintenance Worker works within a small dedicated team to perform maintenance repairs and equipment upgrades at the journeyman level in compliance with applicable codes regulations and established procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Training And Experience

Certificate of Apprenticeship or Trades Qualification Certificate as a journeyman Electrician recognized by the Province of B.C.

Two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education training and experience.

Skills And Abilities

• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to deal with others effectively.
• Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints drawings and specifications such as schematics and service manuals.
• Ability to organize work.
• Ability to operate related equipment.
