Job description
Interesting and fulfilling Facilities Coordination role with a complex global company. Responsible for the maintenance and smooth operations of a 3-floor corporate office with a couple hundred employees. Based in Richmond (free employee parking or transit accessible)

Who- the Company:
Our client is a highly successful and innovative technology company with over 20 years of history, thousands of employees, and exciting projects on the go. The company has a fun-loving yet hard-working corporate culture with friendly and down-to-earth employees. If you have relevant facilities experience in a corporate setting and you’re looking for a successful and exciting global company to work for, this could be the place for you!

What- the Role:
On behalf of our client, Swim Recruiting is seeking a new Facilities Coordinator who will be responsible for building operations and working with vendors on the maintenance on a variety of systems including but not limited to: Electrical, HVAC, Waste Removal, Compressed Air, Plumbing, and Health & Safety.
The Coordinator will participate in all compliance and quality assurance requirements. This role involves collaboration and teamwork with multiple internal departments, as well as plenty of communication and interaction with external vendors, contractors, service providers, etc.
Given this is a global company, there are people working in facilities in other offices, so there is some collaboration (video & phone) with those peers around the world.
This is a contract role to start, with good chance for full time employment in future.
SWIM will provide interested candidates with a thorough job description.

Who- the Candidate:
We are looking for an individual with at least 3 years of relevant work experience in facilities and the maintenance of systems and equipment in a corporate office.
  • Qualified candidates will be able to understand technical documentation such as installation instructions, technical drawings, maps, plumbing and electrical schematic.
  • If someone is “handy” and able to be hands-on with some minor repairs and installations, that is great! The Facilities Coordinator will need to be able and willing to climb up a ladder or pick up a heavy box when needed.
  • People well-suited to this job will be self-motivated, professional, and friendly, with an easy going and upbeat attitude.
  • A health & safety mindset is important, and qualifications in health & safety such as CPR certification, experience as a fire warden, etc, is beneficial.
  • Experience working in facilities for a global company is an asset.
How Much:
Competitive hourly consulting rate commensurate with level of skills and experience, likely in the range of $22 to $32 an hour. If or when this contract converts to full-time permanent employment, the company will provide their new Facilities Coordinator with a solid overall compensation package, including a performance-based bonus, an RRSP match, paid vacation and sick days, relevant professional development, and excellent health, dental, & vision benefits.

Where:
Based in Richmond, BC. Free employee parking. The office can also be accessed via transit (SWIM can give more insight). Full-time in-office.

When & How to Apply:
Swim Recruiting will be presenting the profiles of short-listed candidates directly to the hiring team. If you already have a Recruiter at SWIM, please reach out very soon. If you do not yet have a contact at Swim Recruiting, please hit ‘APPLY’ to send us your resume (preferably in MS Word format as it works best with our internal systems but PDF is also fine). Thank you!
