As our next Engineering Co-op youll report to to the Product and Process Engineering Supervisor. The Engineering Intern leads the analysis and reporting of important product characteristics on various product lines.

What Youll Be Doing:

• Actively participates in the development and implementation of processes part development and equipment selection / installation

• Contributes towards meeting the goals of producing quality parts on-time and at the lowest possible cost

• Develops and documents the manufacture of prototype and production components

• Conducts appropriate analysis work to extract meaning from experimentally created datasets and makes applicable recommendations regarding findings.

• Communicates with Production Quality and other Departments on a regular basis to keep them well informed of the progress in technological advances made within the scope of this position

• Provides assistance in the recommendation of modifications to tooling plant equipment and development of prototypes to permit efficient manufacturing; or to meet performance specifications and serviceability requirements

• Acts as a technical resource and provides support to the people processes products and equipment employed within the area to which you may be assigned on a day-to-day basis

• Supports and participates in team meetings to review and resolve Quality Service Operations Facilities Human Resources and Health & Safety issues where required

• Participates in continuous improvement initiatives

• Adheres to Johnson Electrics policies and procedures

• Other duties as assigned

What Were Looking For:

Qualifications:

• Third or Fourth Year Engineering student within a Mechanical / Materials / Metallurgical discipline or equivalent

Technical & Skill Requirements:

• Must possess strong analytical skills acute attention to detail good organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with a variety of people.

• Must have a high level of motivation initiative and interest in personal achievement.

• Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally at all levels of the organization.

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results orientation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT (including Physical Demands):

• Primarily office environment with equal time spent in manufacturing facilities

• Day shift
