DESCRIPTION DU POSTE

  • Localisation : Nunavut
  • Rotation : 21 - 21
  • Aéroport : Mirabel / Val d'or
  • Langue : Anglais (nos opérations basées au Nunavut nécessitent de communiquer en anglais avec les collaborateurs locaux)
  • Horaire : 12 heures par jour
  • Salaire : Rémunération compétitive

Le gestionnaire de projet est responsable de la gestion quotidienne et de la performance globale des services de restauration et d’hébergement du camp. Ce rôle combine leadership opérationnel, gestion du personnel, relations avec la clientèle, suivi financier et conformité rigoureuse aux exigences en santé et sécurité au travail.

Les tâches et responsabilités du gestionnaire de projet comprennent, sans s’y limiter, les éléments suivants :

  • Superviser les opérations quotidiennes et encadrer l’équipe du camp;
  • Contribuer aux programmes de mentorat, de formation et de coaching opérationnel;
  • Offrir un soutien aux opérations, incluant l’accompagnement terrain, la formation et la logistique globale, au besoin;
  • Soutenir les initiatives liées aux Premiers Peuples, en respect des pratiques et des engagements organisationnels.
  • Effectuer, réviser et/ou approuver la logistique ainsi que l’administration quotidienne et hebdomadaire des activités du site (rapports, horaires, dossiers de paie, déplacements);
  • Maintenir des relations quotidiennes avec les représentants du client sur site, les clients desservis, les superviseurs de département et les employés;
  • Agir, au besoin, comme intermédiaire entre l’Entreprise et le Client pour certains enjeux liés au projet;
  • Aider à identifier le plus tôt possible les risques, problématiques et enjeux du projet;
  • Assurer la conformité à toutes les exigences applicables en matière de contrôle et d’assurance qualité par le biais d’inspections et de visites quotidiennes;
  • Mettre en œuvre et surveiller les politiques et procédures de santé et sécurité au travail de Tangmaarvik sur le site du projet, en collaboration avec le coordonnateur SST / agent de prévention de Tangmaarvik;
  • Veiller au respect de toutes les politiques et procédures de l’entreprise tout au long du projet;
  • Communiquer efficacement les attentes du projet aux membres de l’équipe et aux parties prenantes de façon professionnelle, continue et en temps opportun;
  • Fournir des rapports hebdomadaires;
  • Collaborer avec le gestionnaire des opérations afin de partager les meilleures pratiques, les leçons apprises et de recueillir la rétroaction du client;
  • S’assurer que toutes les tâches sont effectuées de façon sécuritaire et signaler immédiatement tout incident ou problème;
  • Effectuer toute autre tâche connexe requise.

The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management and overall performance of the camp’s food and lodging services. This role combines operational leadership, people management, customer relations, financial oversight, and strict compliance with Health & Safety requirements.

Your work will include:

The duties and responsibilities of the Project Supervisor include, but are not necessarily limited to, the following:

  • Oversee daily operations and supervise the camp team;
  • Contribute to mentorship, training, and operational coaching programs;
  • Provide operational support, including on-the-ground support, training, and overall logistics, as required;
  • Support initiatives related to Indigenous Peoples, in alignment with organizational practices and commitments;
  • Perform, review and/or approve logistics and daily and weekly administration of site activities (reports, schedules, payroll files, travel);
  • Maintain day-to-day relationships with on-site client representatives, serviced clients, department supervisors, and employees;
  • Act, when required, as an intermediary between the Company and the Client on certain project-related matters;
  • Help identify project risks, issues, and challenges as early as possible;
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable quality control and quality assurance requirements through daily inspections and site visits;
  • Implement and monitor Tangmaarvik’s occupational health and safety policies and procedures on the project site, in collaboration with the Tangmaarvik OHS Coordinator / Prevention Agent;
  • Ensure that all company policies and procedures are followed throughout the project;
  • Communicate project expectations effectively to team members and stakeholders in a timely, professional, and ongoing manner;
  • Provide weekly reports;
  • Collaborate with the Operations Manager to share best practices, lessons learned, and gather client feedback;
  • Ensure all tasks are carried out safely and immediately report any incidents or issues;
  • Perform all other related duties as required

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Dynamic team;
  • Camp environment with a rotating work schedule of several weeks of work followed by an equivalent period of leave (14/14);
  • Training, if necessary, in the health and safety and operating protocols and procedures required to be on site;
  • The physical work environment requires the incumbent to work both indoors and outdoors in hot/cold, humid/arid conditions;

Qualifications

QUI CHERCHONS-NOUS?

  • Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en gestion d’équipes en cuisine ou en entretien ménager
  • Formation postsecondaire en gestion hôtelière, restauration ou dans un domaine connexe (ou expérience équivalente)
  • Profil de formateur avec un excellent sens du relationnel et une capacité à accompagner, coacher et mobiliser les équipes sur le terrain
  • Expérience de travail dans des camps de travail régionaux ou en milieu éloigné (atout important)
  • Bonne maîtrise de l’anglais, à l’oral et à l’écrit
  • Excellente maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Expérience avec des outils de planification des horaires et de gestion opérationnelle
  • Capacité démontrée à gérer des budgets, des prévisions et la planification de la main-d’œuvre
  • Capacité et disponibilité à travailler en milieu éloigné selon un horaire de rotation

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience managing kitchen or housekeeping teams
  • Post-secondary education in hospitality management, catering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Training-oriented profile with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to coach, support, and engage teams on the ground.
  • Experience working in regional or remote labor camps (strong asset)
  • Strong proficiency in spoken and written English
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with scheduling and operational management tools
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and workforce planning
  • Ability and willingness to work in remote locations on a rotational basis
