  • Current opening for an existing vacancy Company Overview : Tiercon Corp. is an automotive supplier committed to the design, manufacture and assembly of quality exterior trim and assembled systems used as original equipment in the automotive market. Headquartered in Stoney Creek, the plants have design, mold, paint, assembly and testing capabilities. Tiercon manages 5 sites across 2 cities employing approximately 550 people throughout Canada. Tiercon is seeking knowledgeable, self-directed, experienced and hardworking individuals interested in the automotive industry as a Midnight Production Supervisor at our Oshawa facility.Job Summary & Reporting Structure : Reporting to the Production Manager, the Production Supervisor is responsible for starting and stopping the injection machines and robotics, troubleshooting and minor machine maintenance, monitoring and adjusting processes, changing and setting up of Molds. The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the shift daily operations and personnel of the production line to ensure that all customer schedules are met within the established safety, quality and production targets.Midnight Shift (11 pm to 7 am)The Production Supervisor will resolve any concerns or problems of production personnel and at all times, ensuring the ongoing adherence to the policies and procedures outlined in the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems and encouraging continuous improvement wherever possible.Responsibilities : Mold start-up / processing / troubleshootingStart-up machine and robots to prepare for daily production.In conjunction with the Production Manager, Engineering, Quality and Maintenance; participate in the analysis and problem-solving production, quality problems and technical problems.Advise the Production Manager of all production or equipment problems.Routine maintenanceUse hand and pneumatic tools to make small adjustments and repairs.Assist with minor maintenance on shift as trained : Hoses, fittings, vacuum, thermolatorsMold changing and settingInstall and set up mold as per Tiercon work instructionsSupervisionManage production personnel, resolving concerns, reviewing performance, and maintaining morale, discipline and employee training in accordance with the Company and ISO9001 : 2015 and IATF 16949 procedures. Use Ujigami to track tool changes, scrap reporting, downtime and provide reasons for any occurrences. Shift reporting of any issues involving production, safety issues, or staffing levels.
