About the Role

We are currently seeking an Inclusivity Counselor to provide one-on-one support to a wonderful 6-year-old camper on the autism spectrum attending our Laval location.

Your role will be to act as a supportive buddy throughout the camp day helping the camper participate in activities navigate transitions build social connections and enjoy a successful camp experience in a safe and encouraging environment.

What Youll Do
  • Provide one-on-one support throughout the camp day.
  • Encourage participation in camp activities while adapting your approach to the campers individual needs.
  • Foster positive social interactions with peers.
  • Support routines and transitions using patience and consistency.
  • Work collaboratively with the Location Manager and camp team to ensure a successful and inclusive experience.
  • Communicate observations and relevant information to the camp leadership team as needed.
Were Looking For Someone Who:
  • Has experience working with children on the autism spectrum or other neurodivergent children.
  • Is patient empathetic calm and dependable.
  • Speaks English fluently (required).
  • Enjoys working with children and creating positive supportive relationships.
  • Is able to adapt to different situations while maintaining a reassuring presence.
  • Has previous experience in education childcare recreation psychology special education behavioural intervention social work or a related field (an asset).
