About the Role
The Associate Director, Product & Service Delivery provides strategic leadership across SFU’s academic management systems, with a focus on long-term planning, development, and alignment with institutional priorities. This role leads the product vision and roadmap for major initiatives—including the Integrated Faculty Management System (IFMS)—and ensures cohesive, scalable delivery across multiple Agile teams. The position plays a key role in driving change, aligning cross-functional delivery with business outcomes, and ensuring programs meet institutional goals, timelines, and sustainability targets.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in enterprise product management and solution delivery within complex organizations. A strong ability to align product strategy with institutional goals, guide multi-team Agile delivery, and make business-focused decisions is essential. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent communication, change management and the ability to lead across technical, academic, and administrative domains to drive long-term system evolution.
Qualifications
Master's Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field and agile/SAFe product management certification (e.g., SAFe Product Manager, SAFE Implementation, ACSPO) required with a minimum of 8 years of experience in product management, system development or IT project management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Proven experience in managing enterprise systems, coaching teams in agile frameworks and sustaining long-term operations.
- Strong knowledge of academic management systems and enterprise applications.
- Excellent knowledge of academic policies and processes.
- Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, conflict resolution and communication skills.
