In this role, you’ll serve as both strategic consultant and hands‑on tax expert: advising local tax affairs, reviewing personal, trust and corporate income tax returns, and overseeing other key tax reporting forms. As a PwC Private Tax Manager, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business transactions, deliver high‑quality client service and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Deal effectively with ambiguous and unstructured problems and situations
• Manage, develop, retain and mentor junior tax professionals
• Move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail
• Proactively anticipate stakeholder needs and develop and discuss potential solutions
• Contribute technical knowledge in specialism
• Contribute to an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart
• Navigate the complexities of diverse teams and engagements
• Initiate and lead open conversations with teams, clients, and stakeholders to build trust
• Uphold the firm’s code of ethics and business conduct

Experiences And Skills You’ll Use To Solve

• Demonstrated experience working in tax consulting which includes tax compliance, provisions and reorganizations for private clients and family offices
• Experience working in an accounting firm (Small, Mid‑Size or Major firms)
• Bachelor’s degree with major in accounting or master's in taxation and a qualified Canadian CPA designation
• The completion of the In‑Depth program is an asset.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple assignments in an organized manner
• Entrepreneurial spirit with an interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
• Strong problem‑solving skills, excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

The salary range for this position is $84,700 - $134,700. The posted salary range represents the expected hiring range for PwC locations in major city centres. At PwC Canada, base salary is determined by your skills, experience, qualifications and work location. Eligible employees may have opportunities to participate in variable incentive pay programs which are designed to reward individual and firm‑wide achievements.
