Key Responsibilities

As the Senior Architect you will lead the design and delivery of complex building projects from initial concept through to construction completion ensuring high-quality outcomes strong coordination and alignment with client objectives.

Project Leadership & Delivery

• Lead architectural projects from initiation through design development construction documentation and contract administration.
• Oversee project schedules deliverables and coordination to ensure timely and successful completion of design milestones.
• Provide thoughtful innovative design solutions.

Technical Design & Documentation

• Produce and review detailed contract documents specifications and construction drawings to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Apply in-depth knowledge of building codes and regulatory requirements to ensure compliant and constructible design solutions.
• Coordinate envelope design and technical detailing to meet performance durability and compliance standards.

Interdisciplinary Coordination

• Collaborate closely with engineering teams throughout all project phases.
• Ensure design intent is consistently maintained across all disciplines through clear communication and coordination.
• Review drawings and documentation for quality consistency and technical alignment across project teams.

Mentorship & Team Development

• Provide guidance and mentorship when needed.
• Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages learning accountability and design excellence.

Client & Stakeholder Engagement

• Manage internal client relationships and maintain strong communication throughout the project lifecycle.
• Translate client needs into effective design solutions.
• Participate in discussions with stakeholders to ensure project success.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Registered Architect in a Canadian jurisdiction is required.
• Minimum of 8 years of post-registration experience in architectural design and contract administration.
• Proven experience leading multiple projects through full design and construction phases.

Technical Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Revit is required.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Lumion and Photoshop is considered an asset.
• Advanced understanding of building codes construction detailing and envelope design principles.
• Excellent English communication skills is required.
• Proficient working knowledge in French is considered an asset.
