As a key partner to senior leadership you will advance analytics capabilities by delivering impactful reporting business intelligence and predictive insights that support operational financial and strategic will serve as the data leader for the Group Insurance business fostering strong collaboration across teams while ensuring robust data governance and quality practices. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity to build and mentor a high-performing team strengthen data-driven culture and play a critical role in influencing both business outcomes and the broader enterprise data one of the regions top employers and be part of something that truly makes a Arrangements: This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo ON a minimum of two (2) assigned consecutive days every other week plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month. You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum youll do:Lead the development and execution of the Group Insurance data strategy and roadmapDeliver reporting BI automation and self-serve analytics solutions using enterprise tools Build predictive analytics capabilities in collaboration with cross-functional teams Act as a data subject matter expert bridging business and technology to drive insights Partner with enterprise teams to ensure strong data governance quality and management practices Collaborate with stakeholders to drive adoption of data solutions and support decision-making Define and track performance metrics to measure effectiveness and inform leadership Lead coach and grow a high-performing data and analytics team Identify and mitigate operational and data risksWhat youll bring:10 years of experience in data analytics business insights or data science including leadership rolesStrong expertise in data management modelling and BI tools (Power BI SQL advanced Excel) Experience with data governance quality frameworks and enterprise data environments Poven ability to lead teams and deliver complex cross-functional data initiatives Experience with predictive analytics; knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python) is an asset Strong analytical problem-solving and stakeholder management skills Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts Group Insurance industry experience is an assetWhats in it for you:Career Growth: Regular learning sessions and developmentopportunitiesTotal Rewards: Incentive pay annual salary reviews employer-paid benefits and pensionmatchingTime Away: Competitive vacation plus one paid volunteer day each yearFlexibility: Healthy work-life balance with employee wellness always top of mind complemented by a dress for your day approachAt Equitable were committed to fair pay and an inclusive accessible hiring experience.
