Job Description:

Are you passionate about connecting personally with customers to assist them in achieving their financial goals Do you love exploring and understanding investment options that best suit customers financial needs Then join us as a Senior Personal Banker Home Borrowing Trainee and demonstrate your subject matter expertise in providing sound financial planning advice to promote customer loyalty and investment returns.

In this role you will:

• Create a consistent and exceptional customer experience in the branch with specialty and predominant focus in home borrowing advice and experiences
• Requires deep knowledge and expertise of the Real Estate Secured Lending products; with in-depth knowledge of investing day-to-day banking and all other TDCT products and services
• Ask thoughtful questions to uncover and understand Customer needs owning solutions that align to mandate and bringing in an expert for needs outside of capability
• Improve customer financial confidence through ongoing dialogue and by answering questions and providing advice
• Act as a subject matter expert in the branch for both customers and colleagues regarding all products services policies and procedures of TD especially regarding both personal banking and business banking products/services or policies/procedures owned within the Branch
• Maintain a professional and inviting space in all common areas of the branch adhering to premises marketing and/or regulatory guidelines paying attention to the office spaces in which the Senior Personal Banker Home Borrowing occupies
• Consistently engage in proactive customer outreach (via phone email etc.) to discuss portfolio updates and/or additional opportunities which best service the customers needs; responsible for being present in the community for additional customer outreach
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of the local market competitive offers and economic trends to support advice recommendations
• Ensure documentation that is prepared and completed is accurate properly reflects the customer/business intentions and retained in accordance with business policies and procedures
• Participate fully as a member of the team support a positive work environment that promotes service to the business quality innovation and teamwork and ensure timely communication of issues/ points of interest
• Contribute to the achievement of business objectives by proactively attracting acquiring and retaining customers / advice opportunities and referrals to drive growth for TD; this role is particularly responsible for achieving market share growth by bringing new business to TD

Job Requirements:

• Job Requirements
• High School diploma and/or
• Post-Secondary or Undergraduate degree (in a related field) preferred
• 2 years of relevant experience
• Investment Funds in Canada (IFC) accreditation or equivalent within 90 days of start date
• Certificate in Financial Services Advice (CFSA) within 6 months of start date
  

Trainee Mobility
This opportunity includes a mobility clause that requires a candidate to be mobile within the Assigned District. Upon completion of the training program we intend to assign you to a position which will be compatible with your training. The timing of this posting will be determined by your progress in the training program and our ability to identify an appropriate opportunity. This may involve a transfer and geographic relocation to another TD location within your assigned region. It is our understanding that you are mobile to any location in this region. You are also aware that your geographic mobility is a condition of this employment.
