Job description
Join Whitchurch-Stouffville Fire & Emergency Services as a Deputy Fire Chief, focusing on public education and fire prevention. This vital role involves ensuring the highest safety standards. Reporting directly to the Fire Chief, you will manage crucial operations within the Fire Prevention/Public Education Division and Emergency Management. A strong background in fire services and advanced leadership capabilities are crucial for success in this role. Effective communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills are a must. Key Responsibilities: • Oversee Fire Prevention and Public Education initiatives • Manage day-to-day emergency management operations • Conduct analyses and develop performance evaluations • Engage in fire investigations and policy research • Champion the vision for community safety and development Requirements: • Degree in Fire Sciences, Public Administration, or related field • 10+ years in a firefighting role, including officer experience • Incident Command experience necessary • Familiarity with emergency management legislation • Willingness to fulfill emergency on-call duties Enhance community safety while leading initiatives at WSFES as Deputy Fire Chief. #J-18808-Ljbffr
