Job description
Seize a temporary role as a Litigation Lawyer for the City of Laval, working in a hybrid environment. Provide legal advice, represent the city in court, and manage diverse cases. We are looking for an experienced Litigation Lawyer who is a member of the Quebec Bar and has a minimum of six years of relevant experience. Your primary responsibilities will include representing the City in civil liability and public law matters, advising various city departments, and ensuring effective legal support through case management. You will also engage in drafting important legal documents and conducting research. Key Responsibilities: • Represent in common and administrative courts • Serve as a legal advisor to city departments • Handle various legal case types • Draft legal proceedings and formal notices • Negotiate settlements effectively Requirements: • Good standing member of the Quebec Bar for six years • Experience in legal representation and dispute resolution • Comfortable with diverse legal challenges • Strong analytical and client-oriented skills • Initiative and rigorous approach to legal work Utilize your expertise to further the legal interests of the City of Laval. #J-18808-Ljbffr
