Scope
The Justice Digital Program Services team provides reusable components and common services to help other product teams “go faster”. It supports alignment across digital services and enables digital at scale.
Deliverables should evolve as work progresses, in response to emerging user/business needs and design/technical opportunities. However, the following must be delivered (iteratively) over the course of the project.
Key Duties
The Digital Architect will be required on a full‑time basis (7.25‑hour work day), working across four projects.
Lead the Solution Architecture of Digital Services
• Develop the overall architectural plan, ensuring:
• Citizen‑centered design
• Agile software approach
• Uncover existing system context.
• Provide recommendations and prototypes for technical discovery and feasibility.
• Provide and be accountable for solution designs that account for iterative implementation.
• Analyze impacts, exposure, and risk as it pertains to the solution design.
Guide the Team in Implementation of Digital Services
• Facilitate frequent delivery of products to ensure the target architecture is successfully created.
• Determine the tactical approach on each integration and the target state of system boundaries and interactions.
• Identify opportunities to leverage common components and capabilities of other digital services.
• Encourage team contribution towards developing opportunities to leverage other digital services.
• Provide guidance on the creation of detailed designs for solution implementation.
• Review code changes.
• Contribute to code changes to implement user stories and complete technical tasks.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to the product team.
Architectural Vision & Standards
• Contribute to the architectural vision for a platform of user‑centric services, particularly regarding:
• Use of common components
• Capabilities to accelerate service delivery
• Contribute to development of principles, metrics, and standards for service quality and delivery.
• Provide software architecture information to technical and non‑technical audiences by creating materials appropriate to the audience:
• Documents
• Diagrams
• Presentations
• Actively participate in the development and continuous improvement of the architecture practice.
• The Province and Contractor shall determine changes to Services and Materials as required through the Artifacts.
