We are looking for a dedicated Electrical Engineer to join our team from any one of our offices in Toronto, Hamilton, Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Ottawa, Halifax or Calgary.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will bring expertise in electrical engineering consulting and play a key role in the evaluation, design and management of diverse building projects. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge systems, collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams, and contribute to the development of sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide electrical engineering consulting services, including system evaluations, feasibility studies, and technical recommendations.
  • Design and oversee electrical systems, including:
    • Building automation systems
    • Emergency power systems
    • Power distribution systems
    • Incoming electrical service
    • Lighting systems
  • Prepare detailed designs, drawings, and specifications for tendering purposes.
  • Prepare documentation for submission to the authorities having jurisdiction.
  • Conduct construction reviews to ensure project compliance with design specifications and standards.
  • Manage contract administration, including coordination with contractors, suppliers and clients.
  • Lead project management activities, ensuring timely and budget-conscious project delivery.
  • Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless project integration.
  • Stay updated on industry standards, technologies and best practices to deliver innovative solutions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation (or eligibility to obtain it).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering consulting, with a focus on building systems.
  • Proficiency in design and analysis tools (e.g. AutoCAD, Revit or similar software).
  • Strong understanding of Ontario Building Code, Canadian Electrical Code and other relevant standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for client and team interactions.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
